One of the four “1er Grands Crus Classés A” of Saint-Emilion, Château Angelus is one of the most prestigious wines of its appellation.
Like most red wines from the right bank of Bordeaux, it has a majority of Merlot grape varieties (50%) but also a large proportion of Cabernet Franc (47%), typical of Saint-Emilion.
This Magnum of Château Angelus 2008 can be kept for many years; if it is drunk now, it will easily last two hours in a carafe before serving.
