Domaine Abbatucci is a leading figure in Corsican viticulture. Deeply committed to biodynamics, the rhythm of nature and the harmony between its various components are highly respected here. Motorized vehicles, for example, are replaced by horses and sheep. This respectful and meticulous practice results in very balanced and pure wines.
The Général de la Révolution cuvée is a white wine made from six different Corsican grape varieties. Aging is done gently on the lees for several months in a demi-muid (a vat of a half-barreled wine), followed by a few additional months in a stainless steel tank. The result is a very complex white wine, with numerous aromas, silkiness, freshness, and a great minerality on the finish.
This bottle of Domaine Abbatucci Général de la Révolution 2023 is already very good upon tasting, and even more so after an hour of opening.
