The history of Domaine Philippe Gilbert dates back to 1768 when a tavern owner decided to take over his father-in-law's vineyards. Since then, tradition and respect for nature have been maintained, resulting in a 100% biodynamic estate today.
"Les Chandelières" is a single-plot cuvée made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, the exclusive grape variety for the white wines of the Menetou-Salon appellation, just like its renowned neighbor, Sancerre.
This bottle of Domaine Philippe Gilbert "Les Chandelières" Blanc 2017 is at its peak today. Both aromatically rich and light on the palate, this wine will pair perfectly with fish and other seafood.
