Those bottles have only been stored in two cellars, the winemaker's and ours.

At the helm of a winery whose adventure began in 1808 in Hermitage, Michel Chapoutier today strives to reveal the richness and uniqueness of the various terroirs of the Rhône Valley, and even beyond.

Hermitage "Monier de la Sizeranne" is a blend of three terroirs with very different characteristics: Les Bessards, Le Méal, and Les Greffieux. This diversity of soils, combined with a long aging in oak barrels, gives this 100% Syrah Rhône wine richness and complexity. It will reveal aromas of red fruits, more or less ripe depending on the vintage, as well as woody and spicy notes.

This bottle of M. Chapoutier Monier de la Sizeranne 2017 is still a little young; for a tasting today, allow one to two hours in a carafe beforehand.
