Those bottles have only been stored in two cellars, the winemaker's and ours.

At the head of the family estate since 1996, Christine Vernay has had a string of successes with her various vintages, making Domaine Georges Vernay today one of the most emblematic in the northern Rhône Valley. Red wines and white wines are produced from a 24-hectare vineyard with certification in organic viticulture. Spread across 3 different appellations (Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie and Saint-Joseph), Christine Vernay's wines are distinguished and fine, we find in particular in the red wines all the charm and freshness of the spices characteristic of Syrah from the northern Rhône .
“Maison Rouge” is a red wine made from old Syrah vines planted in the Côte-Rôtie appellation on hilly terrain entirely worked manually. It is a structured, fine and elegant wine with strong aging potential. These complex aromas of black fruits, wood, smoke and spices will become better and better with age.
This bottle of Georges Vernay Côte Rôtie Maison Rouge 2021 is still a little young, it is better to let it wait a few years in the cellar. Decant it for two hours for a tasting today.
