Those bottles have only been stored in two cellars, the winemaker's and ours.

At the helm of a Maison whose adventure began in 1808 in Hermitage, Michel Chapoutier today strives to reveal the richness and uniqueness of the various terroirs of the Rhône Valley, and even beyond.
La Mordorée is a single-plot selection located in Côte Rôtie. Like the majority of red wines from the northern Rhône Valley, it is composed of 100% Syrah. Its old vines, with an average age of over 60 years, and its exceptional terroir make it a truly great wine with fruity and spicy notes. Its aging potential is immense.
This bottle of M. Chapoutier La Mordorée 2019 is still very young; for a tasting today, allow at least two hours in a carafe beforehand.
