Those bottles have only been stored in two cellars, the winemaker's and ours.

"As the first Oolithe limestone slab, sloping eastward, standing like a sentinel facing the south and the plain, ROTENBERG is the most precocious terrroir of Bergheim. Its red soil marked by iron, deeply lying limestone and solar climate fully assemble Riesling and Pinot Gris in this shimmering citrus characteristics, less jam than Grasberg, but still fine and very elegant. The Rotenberg are the wines supposed to be enjoyed quite young, fresh and aerial with its lemon frame, very aromatic, which tends to be paired with the noblest fish, enlightening a beautiful light in the palate ... almost geological!"

Aging Potential: 10 years. Can be served now, Decanted 1 hour before serving.

Food pairing : Sea food (gambas, St Jacques,). Noble fishes (grilled sea bass wipe in the orange, roast of monkfish and zabaglione in the mandarin, the warm spiny lobsters in citrus fruits. Fresh or fried foie gras. Chicken (Tandoori or with ginger). Cheeses: soft goat cheese, Munster.
