Château Batailley

2009

Pauillac

5ème Cru Classé

Red - 0,75 l

With its beautiful building and sumptuous gardens, Château Batailley stands out from the other great classified growths of the Médoc. Located in Pauillac, the appellation that produces the largest proportion of these fine wines, it also differs in its grape varieties. Indeed, Cabernet Sauvignon dominates (74% for this 2009 vintage), ahead of Merlot (22%) and a small proportion of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

These characteristics make it a beautiful epitome of Bordeaux's great red wines. The 2009 vintage will bring a slightly whimsical note with its spicy aromas and full-bodied palate.

This 2009 Château Batailley is already good to drink, and will remain so for other years to come.
