The history of Maison Vincent Girardin is relatively recent. In the 1980s, in Burgundy, Vincent Girardin broke away from a long family line to produce his own wine. Little by little, he built a great success story in the heart of the Côte de Beaune thanks to the quality of his wines.
Located in the Pommard appellation, these Vieilles Vignes vineyards boast very rich clay soil. The wine is aged for 15 months in barrels (30% new), providing a woody note upon tasting.
This bottle of Vincent Girardin Pommard "Vieilles Vignes" 2022 comes from an excellent vintage in Burgundy. It is beginning to open up and will be best enjoyed after an hour in a decanter for a tasting today.
