Château La Pointe is located in a very famous appellation on the right bank of Bordeaux: Pomerol. No classification and therefore no Grands Crus here, the small appellation is strong enough to do without it, it is certainly one of the very best terroirs in all of the Bordeaux vineyards. The often clayey soils on the surface favor Merlot which is omnipresent in Pomerol.Château la Pointe is no exception to this rule with 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.This bottle of Château La Pointe 1995 comes from an excellent vintage in Pomerol, this red wine has been slowly shaped by time and when tasting it will reveal evolving aromas which will appeal to wine lovers.
