Perched on a superb clay-limestone terroir in Saint-Emilion, Château Beau-Séjour Bécot boasts the rank of 1er Grand Cru Classé. This great red wine from Bordeaux is among the very best on the Right Bank.
Its grape varieties are classic for a Saint-Emilion wine: 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. This makes it an excellent example of a rich and accomplished Merlot, balanced as it should be by the sharpness and structure of the Cabernets.
This bottle of Beau-Séjour Bécot 2000 comes from a very good vintage. This is a very gourmand wine with great concentration that is just reaching its peak. you can decant it one hour before tasting.
