Château Pavie Decesse

1997

Saint Emilion

Grand Cru Classé

Red - 0,75 l

Château Pavie-Macquin is located on the limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion, the most popular place in this famous Bordeaux appellation. Alongside its “big brother” Château Pavie, it benefits from the same quality of winemaking. This Grand Cru thus achieves a level of excellence which contributes to the reputation of Bordeaux red wines.
Its vineyard is made up of Merlot (90%) which appreciates in addition to limestone, the presence of clay on the surface, and Cabernet Franc (10%) which brings a floral touch to the roundness and fruitiness of Merlot.
This bottle of Château Pavie 1997 comes from a vintage which had a bad reputation at the beginning, but which turned out to be very good over time, especially in Saint-Emilion. It will delight lovers of mature Bordeaux. Do not let it rest in the carafe before tasting.
