Located in Saint-Emilion, on a particularly warm clay-limestone and clay-sandy terroir, Château Canon la Gaffelière has a fairly atypical grape variety for a red wine from the right bank of Bordeaux. Indeed, thanks to the heat mentioned, the Cabernet vines flourish easily, so much so that they equal Merlot in surface area (50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon).
